Campus Card Services 

Mission & Goals

The mission of the Campus Card Services is to provide support to all Virginia Commonwealth University students, staff, and faculty in all areas of operation relating to their ID Card. We are committed to providing a safe and secure, high-quality identification system that meets the needs of all involved. Our goal is to expand our services in an efficient and convenient way with a user-friendly and customer-oriented approach while seeking new, expanded uses of the card through advanced technology. Our staff are dedicated to achieving this goal and continue to improve on the quality and convenience of campus life by providing customers with courteous, timely, efficient, and effective service.

VCUCard is the official identification card for VCU and VCU Health Systems which provides easy access to residence halls, academic buildings, libraries, bus system, meal plans, and much more. While on the Monroe Park or MCV Campuses, all students, faculty, and staff are required to carry their VCUCard.

In addition to being your official identification, your VCUCard:

  • Permits printing and copying at on-campus Pay4Print locations
  • Permits students free access to athletic events and other activities
  • Grants access to residence halls, labs, offices, and other campus facilities
  • Can be used to pay for RamsLaundry in residence halls
  • Can be used for vending, dining, and many off-campus purchases
  • Permits access to dining facilities for meal plan participants
  • Can be used to purchase books and school supplies from campus bookstores
  • Can be used to pay for Student Health services or prescriptions
  • Permits cardholders access to all recreational facilities and programs
  • Allows cardholders to check-out books from VCU Libraries
  • Grants access to the VCU RamRide shuttle services between campuses
  • Permits parking access to most VCU Parking decks

Use of the VCUCard by the cardholder signifies agreement with all Terms & Conditions, provided by the VCUCard Office, and with the VCU Health System Human Resources Identification Card Policy, provided by the health system Human Resources Office.

Your 24-hour online access to your VCUCard account. You can check your remaining RamBucks, Dining Dollars, Meal Plan, or Housestaff balance or review your transaction history. Find places near your current location to use your RamBucks both on and off campus then place an online food order for delivery.
Attendance Monitor
The Attendance Monitor is a user application managed by Campus Card Services and used by various departments or student organizations to schedule and document attendance at their events. This user-friendly application gathers detailed data relevant to the attendees recorded at the event.
RamsLaundry.com
RamsLaundry is an easy and convenient way to wash clothes in the Residential Halls. Students can find out when machines in their dorm are available, receive an email or text when their cycle is complete, and even reserve their favorite machine. You can also report an issue with a machine through your RamsLaundry account.
Link to Wells Fargo
You can link your VCUCard to a Wells Fargo checking account to use it as your official VCU ID for campus privileges, and also for your day-to-day financial needs around campus. This free and convenient service is available to students, faculty, and staff.

Now you can connect your VCUCard account to Uber and use RamBucks to get a low-cost ride anywhere you want to go. Link your account in minutes, tap a button, and you’re on the move.

Building Access Control is managed by Campus Card Services for the Virginia Commonwealth University. Providing Building Access to all door access and security needs include, but not limited to, installing and troubleshooting access control equipment, activating or deactivating patron access to buildings and updating lock or unlocking schedules.

Building Access Control is managed by Safety & Security for the VCU Health System.

Building Access Incident
Report individual/building-wide access or equipment failures.
Building Access Request
Request access to a building or door for an individual; this request must be submitted by a professor, building manager, or supervisor. Please allow two business days to complete the request.
Door Schedule Change
Requests to temporarily or permanently alter a building's normal door schedule. Please allow two business days to complete the request. VCU mandated schedule changes, such as inclement weather closings announced by the University, are automatic.
Job Estimate Request
Campus Card Services coordinates with an installation vendor and VCU Police to install Integrated Access Control System (IACS) devices for designated VCU facilities. An IACS installation may consist of electronic locking devices, door alarms, glass-break alarms, card readers, panic buttons, and motion detectors. To request a Job Estimate (new installation), building access servicing (existing hardware), or for any other access control related services, please submit an IT Support Center Ticket. Please note, Building Access Control requests are handled in the order it was received.
Parking Access Request
Your VCUCard will allow you access to parking facilities across the Monroe Park and MCV campuses. To request access, please contact VCU Parking & Transportation or visit their website for additional information.
Dorm Access Request
You will need to contact your Residential Assistant, Administrative or Security Office in your building for access. Dorm Access includes all Residential Halls on both the Monroe Park and MCV Campuses. Please contact Residential Life & Housing for dorm related issues.

Pay4Print (P4P) allows students, faculty, staff or friends of VCU to submit print requests to various computer stations or labs located on both campuses. A valid VCUCard or RamBucks Card will authorize access to release the print job at the Pay4Print Station.
