You know your current password and it has not expired yet.
If you know your current eID password, you are free to reset it anytime you like. This is also how you would reset your password before it expires.
Log into the eID Manager website at http://go.vcu.edu/eidmanager with your current eID password.
If this gives you an error message stating that "Account restrictions prevent you from logging in", then your account is locked out. Read more about eID Password Lockouts.
If this gives you an error message stating "Invalid user ID or Password," then either your password has already expired or you are typing in the wrong password. Either way, you will have to reset your password in a different manner.
After logging in, you will be taken through steps to set your new password. If you have any questions or problems, please contact the VCU IT Support Center.
If you need to reset your eID password because you have either forgotten it or it has expired, you have 2 options. The first option is to use the Self-Service Password Reset Tool. This will only work if you have previously answered your challenge response questions. Read more about the eID Password Self-service Reset Tool
If you are unable to use the self-service tool, you will have to contact the VCU IT Support Center. This can be done over the phone at (804) 828-2227 or in person at one of their two office locations. Visit their website for more information and hours.
