Overview and License
Mathcad is a desktop productivity tool designed for scientists and engineers. You can use Mathcad to perform, document and share calculation and design work. The unique Mathcad visual format and easy-to-use scratchpad interface integrate standard mathematical notation, text, and graphs in a single worksheet, making Mathcad ideal for knowledge capture, calculation reuse and collaboration.
Mathcad is available to current VCU faculty, staff and students on the App2Go Citrix Server.
- Five (5) concurrent use licenses of MathCad are available for use by VCU researchers on the App2Go Server.
Access to MathCad
MathCad is only available on the App2Go Server. A personal copy of MathCad may be purchase throug the vendor.
Use MathCad on the App2Go Server
Using a Windows, Mac or Linux computer, you are able to access MathCad via a browser window. Although MathCad runs on the App2Go Server, it appears to be running on your PC. You can open, save and print files from your PC. Applications on the App2Go server are available to support research projects and are not intended for instructional use.
Current VCU faculty, staff, and students may access MathCad on the App2Go Server for research. Documentation on how to use the App2Go Server will provide you details such as system requirements, installation, opening files, saving files and printing.
