Koti Server - Unix
Koti is a Red Hat 6 (RHEL 6) server for users of SAS, compilers, and department-purchased software.
Koti is approved for housing "Category I" confidential and sensitive data, except for financial data (credit card info, etc.).
Accounts on koti.vcu.edu are available for current VCU faculty, staff, students, and affiliates who need to use SAS, compilers or department-purchased software for non-commercial research on a central server. For more information, please see Koti Account Info.
Student and affiliate accounts:
Students and affiliates must have a current VCU eID.
Faculty/staff sponsorship is required for students or affiliates.
Students and affiliates will be required to enter a current VCU faculty/staff member's contact information to sponsor their Koti account. The sponsoring VCU faculty/staff will be contacted to verify sponsorship. Student and affiliate accounts cannot be created until sponsorship is verified.
Collaborators (e.g. for multi-site studies) who are not VCU employees must have a VCU eID created for them as a VCU affiliate. Contact your department's HR representative.
Student and affiliate accounts must be renewed each year.
Access to koti.vcu.edu requires a secure connection. Please see Koti Account Information for more information.
