Canvas Dashboard

This is where any courses a user either teaches or are a student in will be displayed.

Each course card has the ability to be personalized, but only by the instructor of the course. Gifs or images can be edited in the Course Settings.

Edit the Course Card

1. Click on the three vertical dots located in the top right-hand corner of each card to open up the menu.

[1] Change the card color for each course which will create color codes in the calendar to help differentiate between classes and assignments.

[2] Add a Nickname to help differentiate courses that may have the same or similar names.

Note: Nicknames are not visible to students, it is only visible to the instructor.

[3] Move cards around  or you can drag and drop them to a new position.

On the far right-hand side, you will see a Coming Up list which tells you what is happening in all of your courses within the next seven days. And you also have Access the Calendar and View Grades.
