Ivanti Endpoint Manager

Ivanti Endpoint Manager (IEM) provides the tools needed to effectively manage and protect Windows, Macintosh, and Linux network systems. IEM is comprised of several functional modules that work in concert to provide industry-leading system management capabilities, advanced user support, and robust security monitoring and remediation functionality.   IEM is being used by 16 departments at VCU, with a total of 100+ users and 7,700+ managed computers. IEM is currently protecting systems against 2,300+ security risks, with over half a million patches deployed since 2016.

Security for Endpoint Manager enables scanning of managed devices for many common types of security risks and exposures, while the Remote Control tool allows support personnel to provide assistance to end users and diagnose and resolve system problems without costly on-site visits. Software Distribution provides the tools necessary to install, maintain, and monitor applications in the environment. Provisioning (imaging) tools add the capability to rapidly configure and deploy systems and applications independent of hardware differences across groups of computers.

The Cloud Services Appliance (CSA) is available exclusively with IEM and gives users the ability to securely manage systems over an encrypted internet connection. The CSA provides systems outside the perimeter firewall and at geographically distributed sites the ability to connect with the central IEM environment and report inventory and vulnerability assessments and obtain security and software updates.
