Installing Sophos on Windows
Step 1: Remove your old Antivirus program
If you have any anti-virus program other than Sophos installed now, be sure to remove your old anti-virus program.
This is important. Do not skip this step!
From the Start menu, choose Control Panel, and then Add or Remove Programs. You’ll get a window that looks like this.
If you’re using Norton Antivirus, first you should remove the Antivirus program, but leave LiveUpdate because it may be use by another application. If you’re using a different Antivirus program, remove that program. Just click Remove and the computer will do all the heavy lifting for you. You may be asked if you’re sure you want it off; you do.
Step 2: Download the new program.
Download the right program for your computer here. Select the program that you need from the options provided.
Step 3: Install the Program
The solution setected will have a program which will handle all the installation steps for you.
