How do I resolve a PUA alert in Sophos?

Now that a decision has been made to remove the PUA in quarantine, use the VCU Best Practice rules and follow the steps below to remove the PUA from your system. Authorize if you wish to allow the PUA to stay on your computer.

Step 1 - Right click mouse on the blue shield located at the bottom right corner on the Windows Taskbar. Click on [Open Sophos Endpoint Security and Control] to open Sophos.  
Step 2 - Click on [Quarantine] in the left status box. The quarantine manager will open.  
Step 3 - Click on the box in front of the item you want to remove.

 

 

 Step 4 - At the bottom right click on [Perform Action]

 

 

Step 5 - If you see the [Clean up] option enabled you can clean the PUA from the computer by clicking on it.
Step 6 - Click on [Yes] to confirm that you want to clean the PUA.

 

Step 7 - You will see the removal process.

 

Step 6 - Sophos will tell you that the PUA was cleaned up.
Step 7 - Click [Close] and you're done.
