Rennolds Spring 2021 Offerings

Dear Patrons,

In this time when gathering for live concerts is not recommended, we are proud to sponsor the Chamber Music Society of Lincoln Center’s Front Row: National artist series program to provide you with superb recordings from their archives, bookended by an introduction by one of the participating artists, and a special Q&A session with CMS’s Artistic Directors David Finckel and Wu Han.

CMS Promotional Video:

Again, we thank you for your support in these difficult times, and we hope to see you back in the Sonia Vlahcevic Concert Hall, located inside the W.E. Singleton Center for the Performing Arts, part of the VCU School of the Arts, Department of Music, very soon. In the meantime, please enjoy these selections.

Each selection will be available on the date and time listed. Hopefully, you will have the opportunity to enjoy the performance at that time. If for some reason you are unable to view the concert on the designated date and time, please don’t worry. Following the start day and time, the performance will be available for you to review at your leisure for the next seven days.

Once again, hopefully we will all be able to gather together again soon and enjoy some outstanding chamber music concerts as we have in the past.

Thank you again for your patronage.

About the series

The Department of Music at Virginia Commonwealth University has presented the top chamber music performers in the world to Richmond audiences for more than thirty years. VCU Music’s series, originally founded as the Terrace Concerts, debuted in 1983 in partnership with the John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts. Today, the series is named in honor of Mary Anne Rennolds, one of Richmond’s greatest music patrons. A fund was established in her memory to present chamber music events in Richmond, independently of the Terrace Concerts. We cordially invite you to become a part of the premier chamber music series in Richmond.

To a valiant heart, nothing is impossible.epitaph for Mary Anne Rennolds (1922-1989)
