Lisa Fusco is the conductor of Vox Concordia, a treble choir open to VCU students of all genders. She specializes in treble choir and transformed her teaching by applying the principles of voice science to the choral setting. She was the former Choral Director/Performing Arts Chair at Saint Gertrude High School in Richmond, where her choirs earned Superior rankings in District Assessments and were featured at three VMEA conventions. Professor Fusco also conducts VCU students in the Catholic Campus Ministry Choir at Cathedral of the Sacred Heart, prepares the Snow Chorus for Richmond Ballet’s The Nutcracker, and is a Guest Conductor for One Voice Chorus of Richmond. She holds a Master of Humanities degree from University of Richmond, a Choral Music Education degree from Westminster College, and has completed graduate study in music technology, Catholic liturgical music, theatre, and theology. She sings with Richmond Symphony Chorus, serves as a conducting assistant to Dr Freeman, and is a member of ACDA, NAfME, and VoiceCare Network. As a native of the Pittsburgh, PA area, she sang in the Mendelssohn Choir of Pittsburgh under Robert Page.
