Student Research Symposium 2021

Graduate students presented their summer research projects at the annual symposium.

This year’s Biostatistics Student Research Symposium Program presentations were held virtually over two Fridays, August 27 and September 3.  All current Ph.D. students were required to give a podium presentation and take questions on their summer research experience.

Fifteen-minute blocks were allotted to each student, accommodating a presentation, questions from the audience, and transition time.  A faculty panel selected top overall presenters:

  • 1st - Matt Carli
  • 2nd - Joseph Boyle
  • 3rd - Serenity Budd and Salem Rustom (tie)

Awardees will be recognized at the next student recognition and reception ceremony at semester's end.
