CITE & SUBMIT

The Wright Center relies on grant citations as a critical performance measure when reporting annual productivity to the National Institutes of Health (NIH).

The NIH requires that investigators cite the Clinical and Translational Science Award (CTSA) grant if they received funding through the CTSA or used any CTSA services to support their research.

And publications supported by the Wright Center must be submitted to PubMed Central.

Cite

When to Cite

Examples of Wright Center support include but are not limited to the following:

Where to Cite

Submit

Publications supported by the Wright Center must be submitted to PubMed Central and be assigned a PubMed Central ID (PMCID). This is part of the NIH Public Access Policy.

While some journals automatically submit publications to receive a PMCID, some require an author or approved designee to submit the article. Once your article is accepted for publication, if the journal does not automatically submit the article to PubMed Central, submit it yourself. Learn more about submission methods at the NIH.

The process of obtaining a PMCID, which is NOT the same as a PMID, is a step towards compliance with the policy.
