Welcome to Virginia Commonwealth University College of Health Professions.
Health professionals work in health care fields that require specialized knowledge and intensive academic preparation at the undergraduate, master's or doctoral level. These practitioners comprise an estimated 60 percent of the health care workforce. Think about a typical visit to the doctor: While you’re conferring one on one with your physician, many other professionals may be working behind the scenes to help your doctor make a diagnosis by doing laboratory tests, developing X-rays, providing images and coordinating care. Others may help you later with your therapy, recovery and rehabilitation.
