CTLE offers consultation services for numerous topics related to teaching at VCU as well as broader faculty success challenges and opportunities.
Our purpose is to collaborate with you to figure out ways to best approach teaching challenges whether they be managing difficult discussions in class and getting students motivated to learn or exploring innovative ways to engage students by bringing their full selves to learning. We also work with faculty on writing productivity, self-care and balance, career goals planning, scholarship of teaching and learning projects, preparing promotion dossier statements/narratives, and all the things that build VCU faculty toward success.
If you would like for a team member to visit your class for a peer observation of teaching or to conduct a mid-term feedback session with your students (also known as SGID or BBQ), we currenly offer virtual services.

We are currently providing virtual consultation, but are normally located in the Academic Learning Commons at 1000 Floyd Ave, Suite 4100.
The CTLE believes some of the most impactful work is done in collaboration with specific academic units. We work with individual faculty and also love collaborations with departments and schools. We recognize the value of broader impact through strategic efforts with departments, programs, and schools. We invite new ideas that explore your unique needs and development goals. We also invite academic units to request one of our programs that can be tailored.
