Facilities
The VCU College of Engineering occupies nearly 300,000 square feet of space located in two buildings on the Monroe Park Campus. West Hall, which includes the C. Kenneth and Dianne Harris Wright Virginia Microelectronics Center, was completed in 1998 at a cost of $42 million. West Hall encompasses 147,000 square feet of premier research space and includes a full service engineering machine shop which features a 3-D rapid prototyping service center. After an ambitious $67 million campaign, the college added the 120,000-square-foot East Hall in 2008 and the VCU Institute for Engineering and Medicine, a 25,000-square-foot addition to West Hall, the following year.
