The Honors College offers a variety of Guaranteed Admission Programs focused on health sciences. Guaranteed Admission Programs allow highly qualified students to enter their professional program without competing via general admission at a later date, provided all requirements of the Guaranteed Admission Program are met. In order to be accepted into a Guaranteed Admission Program, you must be accepted by the university, by the Honors College and by the selection committee of the Guaranteed Admission Program you wish to enter.
Applications open in early August. Applications for entering freshmen are due November 15 prior to the year of entry to VCU. Students who wish to be considered for University-wide scholarships from the Office of Admissions, must submit their Common Application by November 1.
Additionally, current Honors College students may apply for Guaranteed Admission at the end of their second year via the Preferred Applicant Track Program. Please note there is no Preferred Applicant Track Program for our baccalaureate Guaranteed Admission Programs.

The VCU Department of Clinical Laboratory Sciences offers a B.S. in Clinical Laboratory Sciences. Due to emerging technologies and knowledge of the human condition, the profession of clinical laboratory sciences is forever challenging and rewarding.
Guaranteed Admission students who successfully complete all the requirements of the Guaranteed Admission Program for Clinical Laboratory Sciences may enter the field of study for the B.S. in Clinical Laboratory Sciences without competing via general admissions at a later date.

The VCU Department of Radiation Sciences offers a B.S. in Clinical Radiation Sciences in Nuclear Medicine Technology, Radiation Therapy and Radiography. Virginia’s only B.S. program with content specific to Radiography and Radiation Therapy and the only Nuclear Medicine program in central Virginia give students the opportunity to prepare for the technical and professional demands of the 21st century.

The VCU School of Nursing focuses on improving health and the human condition through research, education and service. The VCU undergraduate nursing major begins in the sophomore year. However, Guaranteed Admission for Nursing students who successfully meet all the requirements of the Guaranteed Admission Program for Nursing may enter the School of Nursing for the traditional B.S. without further competition.

The Occupational Therapy Doctorate (O.T.D.) program prepares students for entry-level practice while also providing advanced training in evidence-based practice, interprofessional and collaborative care and program and career development. The Guaranteed Admission Program for Occupational Therapy offers a unique seven-year program (four years of undergraduate studies, three years of professional school). Students who are accepted into the Guaranteed Admission Program for Occupational Therapy and successfully complete the program requirements during the four years of undergraduate study will not compete via general admission for the VCU OTD entry-level program.

Upon successful completion of the Guaranteed Admission Program, students will be eligible to enter the College of Health Professions Entry-Level OTD Program without further competition.
