Director of development, school of social work


About the position

The Director of Development is the lead professional responsible for all fundraising and alumni engagement in the School of Social Work. Reporting to the Dean, they will develop a fundraising and engagement plan to drive all major gift activity for the School. They will manage a portfolio of donors that includes current and previous donors as well as new prospects, cultivating and stewarding their interest and involvement in the School with the goal of expanding and increasing the level of giving. The DOD will guide and manage the development team around a shared vision for success and serve as the school’s expert on best practices for fundraising, volunteer management, and stewardship. Annual performance reviews will be based on written, mutually approved operating plans and metrics developed in partnership with the VP DAR office, and conducted jointly by the Dean and the VP DAR Office.
