The VCU sign is reflected in a student's sunglasses [View Image]VCU is excited to welcome you to campus this spring and has a handy checklist for you to follow to make sure your transfer to VCU is seamless! Follow the steps on the list and you'll be here in no time!
Starting Nov. 30, you'll be able to make an appointment to meet with your academic advisor. Prepare for that meeting by completing as many items on the checklist as you can!
You are responsible for making any and all changes to your class schedule, but your advisor is here to answer any questions you may have. They do not have the ability to make changes to your schedule to accommodate preferred course modalities or times, but they can answer questions about alternative courses to consider and co-curricular activities to enhance your studies. We've compiled a handy list of tutorials and guides that will bring you up to speed on how to register, view degree requirements etc, so that you can get started.
As of January 12th, all Spring 2021 classes will be taught online until at least March. If you are new to online learning, consider making an appointment with an academic coach to develop strategies and make a plan to be successful in this new teaching modality. The Campus Learning Center and Writing Center also offer writing consultations, individual and drop-in tutoring, and Supplemental Instruction to support your success. And, don't forget that there is an entire Transfer Center committed to helping you to helping you transition to VCU and successfully graduate. Please don't hesitate to reach out with any questions you may have.
