Student Outcomes (First-time Full-time Entering Cohort) 
1 Yr Retention (Fall)Percentage of students who start as first-time in college, full-time, degree-seeking undergraduates in a particular fall semester and register for courses again in the following fall semester for any number of credits.
2 Yr Retention (Fall)Percentage of students who start as first-time in college, full-time degree-seeking undergraduates in a particular fall semester and register for courses again two fall semesters after their original starting semester for any number of credits.
6 Yr Graduation (Fall)Percentage of students entering as first-time in college, full-time, degree-seeking undergraduates in a particular fall semester who earn a baccalaureate degree by the start of fall semester six years later.

First-time Freshman Enrollment (Fall)Total headcount of new full and part-time students who enroll as first-time in college baccalaureate degree-seeking undergraduates for academic credit in fall semester.
Transfer Enrollment (Fall)Total number of baccalaureate degree-seeking undergraduates who previously attended a postsecondary institution, and register for courses at VCU for any number of credits in fall semester.
Graduate Enrollment as % of Total Enrollment (Fall)Degree-seeking graduate students divided by the total number of students enrolled (at all degree levels) for academic credit in fall semester.

Financial Aid Funding from State of VA (in millions)State financial aid given to VCU students in a given fiscal year.
Institutional Financial Aid (in millions)Institutional financial aid offered to students in a given financial aid year. Institutional financial aid displays actual expenditures for financial aid from all institutional fund resources, that included both need-based and merit-based aid and excludes athletic aid.
Scholarships from Fundraising (in millions)Amount of fundraising dollars raised for accounts with a restriction of scholarships. This total includes any new monies received as well as any new pledge or bequest commitments, but excludes payments received on pledges or bequests from previous fiscal years. 
Avg. In-state Undergraduate DebtAt the time of graduation; average student loan debt for students who started at VCU as freshman and received a baccalaureate degree. Loan amounts are accumulated only for the first degree received. Student loan debt excludes Parent loans.

Diversity Driving ExcellenceAdvance Institutional Excellence 
Campus Culture and Climate Ratings: VCU Inclusive Excellence monitors and reports on the University's progress towards a more diverse and inclusive culture and climate. Major academic and administrative units are assessed every 18 months and are rated and ranked based on their performance on three indices: diversity index, inclusion index and engagement index.
The Diversity Index is consists of three main factors: Compositional Diversity, Representational Equity, and Systems Diversity.
The Inclusion Index is consists of four main factors: Cooperative Environment, Empowering Environment, Fair Environment, and Open Environment.
The Engagement Index is consists of three main factors: Intrinsic Work Experience, Leaders Lead, and Supervisor's Support.
