Radiochemistry laboratory

Radiopharmaceutical development is one of the major areas of research within the Center for Molecular Imaging. Targeted probes labeled with Positron Emission Tomography and Single Photon Emission Computed Tomography radionuclides are being developed to underpin biological and pharmacological PET and SPECT imaging research.

The radiochemistry laboratory is equipped with shielded hot cells that house automated synthesis units. The laboratory is also equipped with liquid and gas chromatography systems for analysis of radiopharmaceuticals, as well as other equipment supporting the radiopharmaceutical development program.
