Due to the disruptions caused by the COVID-19 pandemic, OEE prepared a new set of rotation dates for the 2020-21 academic year for both APPE and IPPE rotations, as indicated. 

ADVANCED PHARMACY PRACTICE EXPERIENCES (APPEs) 

APPE Rotations for P4 Students - Rotations have been adapted to 4 weeks instead of the usual five. Students will complete 200 hours during those 4 weeks through projects, presentations, assignments, drug information questions, pre/post rotation activities, and topic discussion preparation that they work on at home before and after rotations. 

2020-2021

Eleven four-week rotation blocks are scheduled from June 2020 - May 2021:

  • (Rotation 1: Cancelled due to COVID-19)
  • Rotation 2: June 22 - July 17
  • Rotation 3: July 20 - Aug. 14
  • Rotation 4: Aug. 17 - Sept. 11
  • Rotation 5: Sept. 14 - Oct. 9
  • Rotation 6: Oct. 12 - Nov. 6
  • Rotation 7: Nov 9 - Dec. 4
  • OFF:  All 4th year students are OFF 12/7/20 - 1/1/2021
  • Rotation 8: Jan. 4 - Jan 29
  • FLEX BLOCK:  Feb. 1 - Feb. 19 - Three weeks to be used by students for residency interviews as needed
  • Rotation 9: Feb 22 - Mar 18
  • Mandatory On-Campus Day: Friday, March 19
  • Rotation 10: Mar 22 - April 16
  • Rotation 11: April 19 - May 14

IPPE Patient Care for P3 Students (20 hrs)

  • Patient Care experiences will be scheduled throughout the P3 year. 

IPPE Hospital Pharmacy Rotation for P2 Students (80 hrs) 

Two-week rotations are assigned during one the the following time frames: 

  • June 8 - 19
  • July 6 – 17
  • July 20 – 31
  • August 3 - 14
  • December 7 - 18
  • December 14 - 31 

IPPE Community Pharmacy Rotation for P1 Students (120 hrs) 

Three-week rotations are assigned during one the the following time frames: 

  • July 6 – 24
  • July 20 - Aug 7
  • July 27 - Aug 14
  • Dec 14, 2020 - Jan 8, 2021

2021-2022

Nine four-week rotation blocks are scheduled from May 2021 - April 2021:

  • Rotation 1: May 17 - June 19
  • Rotation 2: June 21 - July 23
  • Rotation 3: July 26 - Aug. 27
  • Rotation 4: Aug. 30 - Oct. 1
  • Rotation 5: Oct. 4 - Nov. 5
  • Rotation 6: Nov. 8 - December 10 (End date is December 16 if attending midyear)
  • OFF:  All 4th year students are OFF 12/13/21 – 1/7/22
  • Rotation 7: Jan. 10 – Feb. 11
  • Rotation 8: Feb. 14 – Mar. 17
  • Mandatory On-Campus Day: Friday, March 18
