What is VCU's diversion rate?
VCU’s diversion rate is calculated by the actual tonnage of plastic, glass, metal and paper recycling, as well as electronics and scrap metal, plus clothing/household donations, cooking oil, surplus property, toner cartridges and wood pallets. The diversion rate represents the percent of waste that is recycled.
VCU's diversion rate for 2018 was 32%.
