The Commons VCU, Activities Programming Board [View Image]
From Bingo Nights to Friday Films to Homecoming Events to concerts, the Activities Programming Board (APB) makes it happen at VCU. Established in 1986, APB is a student-managed event and program planning organization that fosters school spirit, awareness, diversity, and inclusion.
APB students work as a team to plan and present the majority of student programming and entertainment at VCU. Student Activity Fees provide funding to APB, so most events are free to students.
APB offers educational events through lectures, spirit events that support athletics and weekend programs to offer something for students in the Richmond area. To see upcoming events from APB, check out APB's event page on their RamsConnect website.

If you love to plan events and connect people, then APB could be a great fit. Many of VCU's APB positions are paid student employee positions. There are three main ways you can get involved with APB:
Come by the APB office! APB is located in an office suite in The Commons, first floor, Suite 160, around the corner from The Pod Market.
Graduate and Professional Student Programming Board (GSPB) enhances the student experience through the development of unique social networking, personal and professional enrichment, and community engagement programs that are open to graduate and professional students of all disciplines at VCU.
By promoting interactions and networking between graduate and professional students, GSPB creates a more lively, unified, and enriched interdisciplinary community of graduate and professional students.
Annual events hosted by the GSPB typically include paint night, dinner and movie nights, workshops, film series, study breaks, lunches with special speakers, off-campus mix and mingles, and special events during Homecoming and Weeks of Welcome.
GSPB is funded by Student Activity Funds that each VCU student pays, so most programs are free to students.
View upcoming events on the GSPB RamsConnect Event Website.
All graduate students are welcome to get involved with GSPB. Some positions are paid.
