The Ram Horns Plaza at The Commons is Instagram-famous as it is THE iconic, selfie spot at VCU. If you attended new student orientation in recent years, you might remember the tradition of touching the Ram Horns sculpture and making a wish.
Offering a ballroom, a theater, lounge areas, meeting and event spaces, a food court, a convenience store, entertainment, and a variety of student and student org support services, The Commons is both a place and entity. The Commons enriches the 24/7 student experience at VCU by bringing students, faculty, and staff together as a community.

An all-time favorite restaurant for many students, Chick-fil-A uses fresh ingredients to make classics like the Original Chicken Sandwich® and Waffle Potato Fries™.
With classics such as the Burrito Supreme, the Crunch Taco, and the Crunchwrap Supreme, students can Live Más without having to leave campus.
With a vision like, ‘Eat. Energize.,’ Freshii provides fresh and nutritious meal choices that energize people on the go. Freshii is the perfect stop for lunch, dinner, or a quick snack between classes. Students love Freshii’s wide selection of salads, wraps, bowls, burritos, smoothies, juices and more.
Pizza Hut Express aims to satisfy every appetite. Located inside the University Student Commons, Pizza Hut Express offers personal pan pizzas, breadsticks, breakfast, dessert items, and COMBO meals.
Provisions-on-Demand, aka the POD Market, features an assortment of snacks, Java City coffee, F’real milkshakes, groceries, Grab & Go items, and more.
An open-air, town center for all the hustle and bustle of life, the most prominent feature of The Ram Horns Plaza is, Ramifications, the 14-foot sculpture of two ram horns installed in 2009. From concerts to fairs to the annual student organization fair, The Ram Horn Plaza is the heart of VCU.

Rams Lounge, located in the lower level of The Commons, is a fun place to host events for student organizations, sorority, or fraternity. A versatile space, the Rams Lounge features comfy couches and chairs, five large screen TVs, a speaker and microphone system, pool tables, gaming technology, and board games.
The Leadership Resource Lounge, located in The Commons on the second floor in Room 229, is a collaborative space for VCU students to learn, lead, and create. The lounge includes a conference table, TVs with HDMI hookups, and comfortable furniture.
Additionally, there is a library with over 100 books to check out and choose from, including identity development, leadership, teamwork, local and global civic engagement, popular leader stories, and team builder equipment and activities.
Student employees at the information desk provide visitors with information including directions to different locations in and around the building.
