MySQL Database Services: VCU Computing Center (VCUCC) has servers dedicated to general-purpose departmental MySQL databases as well as REDCap applications.
The VCU University Computing Center maintains three MySQL servers. One is dedicated to the RedCap project. The other 2 exist as test and production system(s) and may contain "sensitive" or category 1 data. These database resources are for depatmental use only. Current resources have limited the VCUCC responsibility to software installation and maintenance, backup and recovery, database creation, and MySQL account creation. Application support is not available. Access to the server is limited to on-campus or through a VPN.
Contact the VCUCC DBA Staff at firstname.lastname@example.org for more details or if you have questions about the MySQL database services.
