NURS 607. Epidemiology and Population Health. 3 Hours.
Semester course; 3 lecture hours. 3 credits (3 credits lecture). Enrollment is restricted to students admitted to a graduate program. Integrates principles of epidemiology, evidence-based clinical prevention, health screening, behavioral modification, disease modification, disease management of populations and quality metrics. Students will assess population health models and frameworks to address a multilevel perspective of the health status of vulnerable populations and sources of health inequalities. Cultural perspectives will be emphasized at a regional, national and global level.
