Paying for College
VCU Financial Aid works with students seeking federal aid, loans, grants and scholarships to pay for college. Eligibility depends on your academic and financial circumstances, but most students qualify for some form of aid. If you filled out the FAFSA, you will receive a letter from VCU Financial Aid with more information about your financial awards.
Scholarships for newly accepted students are automatically awarded to qualifying students based on academic achievement and talent. If you are awarded a scholarship, you will be notified by mail or email. There are additional scholarship opportunities that you can explore once you are a currently enrolled student.

- 81% of VCUarts alumni were employed in a job related to their field within 12 months of graduating
- 86% of VCUarts alumni are satisfied in their careers
Results from the 2016 SNAAP survey (Strategic National Arts Alumni Project), that polled alumni that graduated between 1940 and 2016.
In the School of the Arts, we work to foster each student’s goals and have a commitment to their on-going career development and life after college. In many cases, a student may define a job as their work in the studio, freelancing, or starting a small business for example. We find that there is a direct correlation between students that seek and earn internships, network with professional groups and take leadership roles and job placement upon graduation.
