Diane L. Reynolds serves as the Assistant Vice President for Business Services for Virginia Commonwealth University and leads the management teams for Business Services. She and her staff strive to provide service excellence every day to students, faculty, staff, and visitors of Virginia Commonwealth University. Diane holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Marketing as well as an MBA, both from Virginia Commonwealth University. She is a scholar of the 2001 inaugural Grace E. Harris Leadership Institute for emerging leaders and served as President for the National Association of College Auxiliary Services, East Region. Dan Young serves as Director of Finance for the Department of Business Services at Virginia Commonwealth University. Dan oversees the overall Business Services fiscal management, to include accounting, budgets, fiscal planning and financial reporting. He also manages the Mail Services contract and partnership. A Commonwealth Management Institute (CMI) graduate, Dan began his service at VCU in 1988. He graduated from West Virginia State University with a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration, majoring in both Finance and Accounting and minoring in Computer Sciences.Charlene Lacy [View Image]
A member of Business Services’ three-person finance team, Charlene ensures the integrity of accounting and fiscal reporting for the following units: RamTech, VCU Dining Services, Barnes & Noble @ VCU (Monroe Park and VCU Medical Center) and the Contract Licensing Program. Catherine Cecil is responsible for the accounting and fiscal reporting activity for multiple auxiliary programs within Business Services, to include Dining Services, Retail Services and Mail Services. Catherine previously worked as a Officer in a financial institution for over 18 years. She has served Virginia Commonwealth University for thirteen years.Stephen Barr Ed.D, CASP [View Image]
Stephen Barr provides overall management for Dining Services, Dining Operations and Retail Services at Virginia Commonwealth University. With over 10 years of experience in higher education auxiliaries, Stephen implements policies and initiatives that exemplify excellent customer service. He leads the negotiation, development, and management of large and complex contracts, ensuring that units are professionally managed, meet customer needs and support the academic mission of VCU in a cost-effective and self-sustaining manner. In 2016 Stephen received his Certified Auxiliary Services Professional (CASP) certification from the National Association of College Auxiliary Services (NACAS). Stephen holds a Bachelor of Arts in Theatre Design from the University of New Orleans, a Master in Public Administration from Louisiana State University and a Doctorate of Education in Higher Education Leadership. Stephen currently serves on the NACAS East Board of Directors.
As Marketing, Trademarks & Licensing Manager, Christy oversees all marketing, public relations and promotional activities for Business Services and its units. She also manages the university's trademarks and licensing program, ensuring proper usage of VCU's name and symbols. Christy has over 15 years of marketing and public relations experience in the private sector with consumer products and retail companies. Christy is a member of the American Marketing Association and the Public Relations Society of America. She holds a Bachelor of Science in Fashion Marketing from Virginia Tech and an MBA from Philadelphia University.

Anna Obermiller, Communications Specialist, is responsible for writing, editing, and proofreading all internal and external communications. She supports the Marketing team by providing timely updates and information that relate to the units within Business Services via email, social media, digital, and print communications. Anna is a member of the American Marketing Association and the Public Relations Society of America. Tara Bridger, Graphic Design and Marketing Specialist, designs all print and digital media for Business Services. She also assists in various Trademarks & Licensing duties, manages the VCU Crafter's Program and assists in managing the departments’ social media accounts. Lauren Hay provides oversight of the VCUDine program as Business Manager for Dining Services. She manages the administrative policies, business functions and customer service for 23 on-campus dining locations, as well as the university vending beverage service and vended snack service. As Dining Services Customer Experience Specialist, Alex assists students, faculty and staff with the purchase of dining plans, pricing and information for Dining Services on both campuses. As Dining Operations and Analytics Manager, Barbara oversees Dining Services’ capital projects, ensures contractual compliance and oversees yearly dining capital budget expenses. She analyzes data trends and creates reports to assist with forecasting. Barbara holds a Bachelor of Science in Business Information Systems from Virginia Commonwealth University. Stephen Monroe has worked at Virginia Commonwealth University for nearly 20 years. As Assistant Manager of Operations & Analytics, Stephen monitors and verifies contract compliance amongst Business Services’ various partnerships. Yvonne Jones has proudly worked at Virginia Commonwealth University for over 44 years. Within Dining Operations, Yvonne ensures the quality, service, sanitation, health and safety standards at all of Business Services’ 23 locations. She maintains the fixed asset inventory and supports Dining’s vending program. Yvonne is a member of the National Association of College & University Food Services. In 2010 Yvonne was nominated for the Dorris Douglas Budd Award, and in 2014 she received the Finance & Administration Division Award for Delivering Excellence in Customer Service.Robinette Butler [View Image]

Scott Hackenburg is the resident technology expert in the Department of Business Services. As Technology Manager, Scott develops new reporting databases, maintains the department website, databases and servers, and develops new applications and reports to help streamline operations and increase productivity. Scott holds a Bachelor’s Degree from ECPI in Software Development.
