Worked as a quantitative analyst conducting research and development for a software analytics company (pre-graduate) After completing the graduate program, I worked for a boutique investment bank located in Richmond VA. Completed over six years of mergers & acquisitions and capital formation within the renewable energy and business services sectors. Start of 2018, I launched an investment advisory firm located here in Richmond focused on evidenced-based methods to construct efficient investment portfolios.

How did you become interested in this field?

My father was an entrepreneur so I knew early on I would like to venture out on my own. I have always had an interest in capital markets, a lot sparked by my undergraduate and graduate finance professor at VCU, Dr. Salandro, whom I still keep in touch with today.

What do you like best about the type of work you do?

Ability to help individuals understand and benefit from capital markets as it relates to their financial and investment planning. The ability to assess and apply the latest technology in the field of investment management.

What was most memorable about your experiences in your VCU graduate program?

Working on a guided study/thesis with Dr. Salandro and Dr. Gupta.

What advice would you give current and prospective students about pursuing a graduate degree at VCU?

No brainer. Target something that will get you exposed to computer science in some fashion and get access to technology. Network before, during, and after!
