VCU Canvas Boot Camp for Faculty
Hosted by VCU Online and Learning Systems, this event focuses on teaching with Canvas. Sessions will cover a variety of topics such as creating your course in canvas, exporting and importing content from Blackboard to Canvas, managing the gradebook, features, functionality and more. A detailed schedule of sessions and special open office hours are available on the 2021 Faculty Canvas Boot Camp page. You only need to register once and may attend any sessions you choose, on any of the 4 days. Details for the joining the sessions online will be emailed to you after you register, so watch for an email from VCU Online. This event and all the sessions are FREE.

This workshop will review the options available storing for large files such as videos, images and other media content for online courses. Each Canvas course is allotted 2 GB of storage, and we will show you how to avoid using up your Canvas space. Learn valuable guidelines for storing files outside of Canvas using Kaltura, Google Drive, etc. and how you can easily access the files and link to them in your course.
