Donning of the Kente Ceremony
The Donning of the Kente Ceremony celebrates the achievement of black undergraduate, graduate, and doctoral candidates. This ceremony provides students with a positive and rewarding experience that recognizes hard work, dedication, and perseverance. Each graduate receives a commemorative Kente stole to symbolize their academic achievement. The ceremony takes place during the fall and spring commencement.
We've transitioned from our traditional in-person ceremony structure to ensure public health and safety at this time.
Registration for May 2021 graduates is closed.
