Researchers in the Participation and Adaptation Research Consortium create and test applied interventions for people with acquired disabilities and their family members in areas such as cognitive and behavioral rehab, adaptation and community re-entry.

With funding exceeding $20 million, this consortium has led the VCU Traumatic Brain Injury (TBI) Model System of care grant for more than 30 years.

Next steps include expanding research interventions from primarily TBI to other neurotrauma and neurodegenerative diagnoses.
