The Interdisciplinary Sciences major provides a broad background in the physical and biological sciences. The B.S. in Science degree is of increasing importance to both current and transfer students with interests in teaching, science, and health careers. Many professional level training programs in medicine, pharmacy, dentistry, and physician assistant studies require specific science prerequisites that are not included in some science majors like biology, chemistry and physics. The professional science concentration is designed for students who wish to focus on specific science courses required for graduate or professional school admission.
