Sarah Lineberry is a doctoral student at Virginia Commonwealth University School of Social Work. Lineberry has worked with adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities in a variety of settings and draws upon these professional experiences to inform her research. Lineberry’s research interests are in policies, practices and models that promote community integration and well-being for people with IDD. In the context of COVID-19, Lineberry’s work has specifically focused on access to healthcare and community supports. 

Lineberry received her Bachelor of Science in psychology from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill in 2013 and her Master in Social Work with a Certificate in Nonprofit Management from UNC-Chapel Hill in 2016. During her master’s program,she completed field internships at The Arc of North Carolina and the Carolina Institute of Developmental Disabilities. Lineberry is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and was a recipient of the Leadership and Education in Neurodevelopmental and Related Disabilities (LEND) Fellowship. Prior to coming to VCU, Lineberry worked as a case manager for adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD) with L’Arche Chicago, an inclusive, intentional community for people with and without disabilities.
