The VCU Wiki is designed to make it easy for you and your team to share information with each other, and with the world.
All content in the VCU Wiki is organized into spaces. So to start browsing content, simply click on one of the spaces listed on the VCU Wiki home page.
To see all the spaces and edit pages, you will need to log in to the wiki with your VCU eID and password. If you see your user name instead of the Log In link, you are already logged in.
All VCU Wiki users can create their own personal space. To do so, log in, then click on your username in the upper right hand corner, and then select "Add Personal Space..." from the drop down menu. To create a system wide space submit a help request.
To learn more information about the VCU Wiki which utilizes the Confluence wiki, please view the confluence users guide.
Due to license limitations VCU users must request access to use the wiki. Access can be granted in two different ways depending on the scenario.
Individual users can request access to the wiki via an IT Support ticket.
After a user is imported into the application they will have access to make a personal wiki or can be added to a shared space by a space admin.
If you are administering a space that users need to be provisioned wiki accounts automatically based on their role please submit a help request with Web Services. An example where this provisioning model would be preferred would be for an academic class wiki where students are adding and dropping the class. Due to licensing limits we can set up group access for small subsets of VCU, but we are unable to accomodate requests for groups larger than 50 users.
Users who have a current CAS session but do not have access to the wiki will be presented with a 500 internal server error when trying to login. If you are presented with this error please follow the instructions above for gaining appropriate access.
