The Anderson is VCUarts’ on-campus gallery, serving the VCU community through a dynamic and constantly evolving program of student and professional exhibitions, projects, and events.

At the Anderson, students are recognized as artists in their own right, empowered to push their artistic practices and engage with audiences as they hone their work.

Open by appointment only until August 23rd when the 2021 Fall Semester of programming begins!

Please note that visitors to The Anderson are asked to continue to wear masks when inside the building.

Please visit the VCU COVID-19 blog for more information.

Accessibility: The Anderson has a metal ramp at the front entrance. Unfortunately, The Anderson building is not equipped with an elevator, so the upper floors are not accessible to people in wheelchairs or those with limited mobility. Virtual visits can be scheduled! Email for more info.
