Updates from the Aerosol Research Group at VCU

VCU School of Pharmacy professor Mike Hindle and VCU School of Engineering professor Worth Longest are co-PIs on a new 5 year, $2.5 million R01 grant that will develop high efficiency dry powder inhalers for the delivery of tobramycin to pediatric cystic fibrosis patients

Funding from NIH / NICHD will support research by an interdisciplinary research team from the Schools of Pharmacy (Drs. Hindle and Venitz), Engineering (Dr. Longest), Medicine (Drs. Rubin, Dodson, and Ohman), together with Dr. Tiddens from ErasmusMC – Sophia Children’s Hospital in Holland.

We are excited to receive this funding and expand our research partnerships !
