University Counseling Services (UCS) provides a one-year (12 months, 40 hours/week) intensive post-graduate experience with the primary goal of preparing an entry-level clinical professional for licensure and practice in health service psychology. The Advanced Mental Health Resident (AMHR) will provide 1) brief individual, couples, group, and crisis counseling, 2) outreach programming and consultation, and 3) Referral and Assessment Meetings (RAMs), walk-in services, and after-hours coverage, and will participate in weekly case disposition meetings. Additionally, AMHR’s will receive 1.5 hours of weekly supervision with a primary supervisor, 1.5 hours of weekly group supervision, and available bi-weekly AMHR cohort supervision. The AMHR will also participate in organizational and clinical staff meetings and other university-wide meetings as appropriate.
