Greater Richmond area students in grades 10, 11 and 12 with a minimum GPA of 2.75, who are interested in exploring a career in medicine. Students must be a U.S. Citizen or Permanent Resident.
The goal of Project ACEe is to serve as a a pipeline program designed to increase the number of persons underrepresented in medicine and/or from disadvantaged backgrounds entering health professions.
Preference is given to students attending Richmond Public Schools; however, students from the Greater Richmond Metropolitan area schools are welcome to submit applications for consideration.
Project ACEe is an after-school program that meets on Fridays for 90-minute workshops. Participants learn about different specialties and aspects of medicine through workshops and mentoring opportunities. Project ACEe participants receive preparatory information for successful admission to college and the medicine program at VCU.
