The Massey Challenge is not over with the UKROP’S Monument Avenue 10k this year! There are three more partnership events throughout Virginia happening in April and May. This means Massey Challenge participants can continue to “make miles matter” through participation in more events! Visit to learn more and pick your Challenge. 

Petersburg Half Marathon and 5k
Petersburg, Va.
April 18

Join us for Petersburg’s inaugural half marathon and 5k! The scenic course will feature views of downtown Petersburg, the Petersburg National Battlefield, Blandford Cemetery, Pocahontas Island and a live battle re-enactment will be taking place while you run. The race takes place on Saturday, April 18. When registering, use coupon code “MASSEYPETERSBURG5K” or “MASSEYPETERSBURGHALF” for $5 off your registration.

RE Strong Run
Urbanna, Va.
April 25

The second annual RE Strong Run benefiting VCU Massey Cancer Center takes place on Saturday, April 25, 2015 in Urbanna, Virginia. This event is in memory of Ruth Ellen Hurley, who received much of her cancer treatment at Massey. The course takes you along Urbanna’s beautiful waterfront, starting at a historic plantation and winding through a charming Virginia town. The grand post-race festival features live entertainment, regional cuisine, children’s activities and more. Visit to register, and learn more about this partnership by watching their video.

Run for the Dream 8k Run/Walk
Williamsburg, Va.
May 30

The Patriot Running Festival has expanded its Run for the Dream event and will feature an 8k run/walk on Saturday, May 30, in Williamsburg, Virginia. The design of the finisher medal for this race features a homage to Massey's iconic "sunburst" as the backdrop to its Colonial Williamsburg location. The race begins at the Colonial Williamsburg Regional Visitors Center, winds through the historic area of Colonial Williamsburg and finishes in William & Mary’s Zable Stadium.
