Research focuses on nitric oxide signaling in tumor and normal tissues and their respective responses to radiation. We use animal models for these NIH funded studies as well as a blood draw study of patients treated by radiation. In the latter blood has been collected from over 500 patients at time points before treatment and one day, middle of treatment EOT, 6 months post-treatment and annually thereafter if they re-consent. Blood samples are used for DNA SNP and exosomal miRNA analyses.
