Virginia Commonwealth University will celebrate the accomplishments of its May 2020, December 2020 and May 2021 graduates in person this fall. Those graduating classes did not have an in-person commencement ceremony due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

VCU will welcome back those graduates and their families during homecoming week for an on-campus celebration on Saturday, Nov. 13. More information about this event will be posted to the VCU homecoming website in the coming weeks. May 2020, December 2020 and May 2021 graduates are encouraged to update their contact information to receive details about the event from the alumni office.

Also this fall, on Saturday, Dec. 11, the university will honor the achievements of May 2020, December 2020 and May 2021 graduates at VCU’s fall commencement at the Stuart C. Siegel Center. Graduates will be contacted by the University Events and Special Programs Office to register for commencement. Graduation portraits will be offered to all graduates at the Siegel Center on Friday, Dec. 10, and prior to commencement on Dec. 11.

In the coming months, university leaders will continue to monitor the state of COVID-19 and vaccinations as well as the advice of public health experts, including VCU’s Public Health Response Team. For up-to-date information on commencement, visit the VCU commencement website.
