Coagulation tests are extremely sensitive to methods of collection and preservation. It is important that the sample collection and processing instructions be followed so accurate test results can be obtained.
Unacceptable Specimen Samples
Samples which are incorrectly collected, labeled, processed, or transported will not produce accurate results. When a sample is not acceptable, you will be notified by telephone.
If you have any question prior to collection or transportation of a sample, please contact the Coagulation Laboratory at (804) 628-5736 for more information.
