Providing services in diagnostic medical imaging physics and nuclear medicine physics
The Division of Diagnostic Medical Physics has five full-time faculty members, and they are board certified by either the American Board of Radiology or the American Board of Medical Physics. They specialize in all diagnostic medical physics activities, including quality assurance, patient dosimetry, shielding designs and protocol development.
Our faculty members provide clinical professional services, research, and consultation in diagnostic radiological imaging physics and nuclear medicine physics. Additionally, the Division's faculty members participate in research and development, as well as serve as valuable resources for other medical professionals.
Our medical physicists also actively participate in the education of future medical physicists, resident physicians, medical students, and technologists in medical physics, radiation protection and radiobiology.
