Dr. Linnie Carter to Address Robertson School Graduates at May 15th Commencement

“We’re excited to host an alumna of VCU who shows a unique passion through her career that we know will inspire graduates moving on to careers in the industry. We look forward to hearing from Dr. Carter and celebrating all our graduates as we commemorate another year of success at the Robertson School,” said Interim Director, Peyton Rowe.  

Biography

Carter is a two-time alumna of VCU with a master’s degree in mass communications (media management) and a bachelor’s in mass communications (public relations). Her career journey exemplifies her belief and passion for higher education. Dr. Carter has been a faculty member and an executive director of foundations at four different institutions. In her current role as vice president of college advancement at HACC, Central Pennsylvania’s Community College, and executive director of the HACC Foundation, Dr. Carter is a member of the College president’s Cabinet and leads a team that spans five campuses. 

She oversees the HACC Foundation and advertising, alumni affairs, branding, fundraising, grants, graphic design, marketing, photography, public relations, publications, scholarships, special events, sponsorships, videography and website development. Beyond her resumé and years of experience in higher education and public relations, Dr. Carter is a passionate, inspiring and engaging person who brings wisdom and insight to every discussion. She recently agreed to serve on the Advisory Board of the Robertson School. 

As a reminder, Commencement will be held on May 15.
