Sometimes, the stressors we experience can be tough to manage. The Resilience Lab helps us learn to tune into our bodies to turn off our stress response when it’s not serving us. We use mindful techniques as a way to manage stress and improve well-being.
Recreational Sports and The Well are teaming up to offer a free 4-week mindfulness training course for students, faculty, and staff to learn ways to build resilience using Mindfulness-based Stress Reduction (MBSR) techniques. Those who complete this course will be eligible for The Well's Mindful Ambassador Program (MAP). These 2-hour, interactive virtual classes will provide resources on topics such as mindfulness in the face of stress and uncertainty, how we can tune in to our thoughts and emotions through mindful practice, and how to live compassionately.
GUIDED MEDITATION
The Well currently offers two 30-minute opportunities for guided practice which could include mindfulness techniques like body scans, loving-kindness meditations, progressive muscle relaxations, and guided imagery. All sessions and techniques are suitable for all levels of practice. We currently offer these sessions at
Wednesdays at 2:30 p.m.
Thursdays at 12:00 p.m.
