    Overview

    QSR International's NVivo is available to VCU researchers on the App2go Citrix Server. NVivo is an all-purpose qualitative data analysis system, which is designed to aid researchers in handling non-numerical, unstructured data by supporting processes of indexing, searching, and theorizing. It can be used to analyze text, audio, and video files.

    NVivo Licensing

    VCU faculty, staff, and students may access NVivo on the App2Go Server, which is used to support research and not intended for instructional use.

    There are six (6) concurrent use licenses of NVivo are available by VCU researchers on the App2Go Server. Only six users may access the application at the same time.

     

    Access and Purchase

    NVivo is available on the App2Go Server without the need to purchase or install the application on your computer. A purchasing option is available for those who wish to install a personal copy on their computer.

    Using NVivo On The App2Go Server

    Using a Windows, Mac, or Linux computer, you can access NVivo via a browser window. Although NVivo runs on the App2Go Server, it appears to be running on your PC. You can open, save, and print files from your PC. Applications on the App2Go server are available to support research projects and are not intended for instructional use.

    Only current VCU faculty, staff, and students may access NVivo on the App2Go Server. Documentation on how to use the App2Go Server will provide you details such as system requirements, installation, opening files, saving files, and printing.
