The deadline for exporting course content from your Blackboard course(s) was May 31, 2021. If for any reason you missed this deadline, email firstname.lastname@example.org and enter a request to have the export of your course(s) sent to you. Please include the course ID of the course(s) you need exported (i.e. MISC-101-001-2021Spring.)
Note: You must be listed as an instructor of the course you are requesting.
Your file will be sent to you via VCU’s Filelocker within 48 hours.
If we find that your requested export exceeds the Canvas 2GB storage limit, your content will automatically be imported into a temporary course shell for you. Users will have 2 weeks from the time of import to retrieve your content. The title of the course will include the date for when this course will be deleted, indicating how much time you have to retrieve and/or transfer the content you need.
You will then be responsible for cleaning up the temporary course in order to be able to transfer it to your sandbox or the course you will be teaching.
In order to meet the 2GB limit, you’ll need to go to the temporary Canvas course shell and access the Course Files.
If you have a significant amount of documents, images, powerpoints, etc. they will need to be stored somewhere else.

Users with an @vcu.edu email account should already have an account in Kaltura. Kaltura allows for unlimited storage space for all of your video and audio files.
Once the temporary course is within the 2 GB storage limit, you can Export/Import it to the actual course you are teaching. After 2 weeks, the temporary course shell that was created on your behalf will be deleted from Canvas.
