Zoom offers an add-on feature called "Webinar" that offers slightly different features from "Meeting."
For instance, in "Webinar" only the host and designated "Panelists" can share video and audio, with all other participants limited to participating via text through a "Question and Answer" feature. Questions entered into "Q&A" can be seen by the host and panelists, who may choose to respond in a number of ways. Hosts can designate up to 25 persons to act as "panelists."

Please note that Webinar is not generally available on the VCU Zoom plan. It is a separate feature that was not included in our contract. Having said that, it is possible for individual departments or units to purchase "Webinar" to be added to their Zoom account. If interested, contact email@example.com for more details.
Also, Technology Services owns a single 500-seat Webinar license that can be leased out to departments on a per-event basis for a nominal fee. This generally involves a two- or three-day lease to cover the actual event plus time to practice and learn the features.
