You can obtain your VCUCard on the first day of employment or long-term assignment to a VCU Health facility. No VCUCard will be issued until the VCUCard Office has been given notification of employment (or sometimes change in job/role status) from the VCU Health HR. For further questions, please contact VCU Health Human Resources.
New employees will take their VCUCard photo at the VCU Health HR Express office when completing paperwork. All VCU Health employees should receive their VCUCard at the time of their scheduled orientation and will be provided with further instructions from HR. Please be sure to bring a government-issued photo ID with you, at the time of pick-up.
If you are attending an orientation and currently have a VCUCard in your possession, you will be required to visit the VCUCard Office at the VMI Building to exchange it for an updated ID.
You will receive a VCUCard for each job position or role that you are affiliated with at VCU and the health system. VCU Health employees are responsible for displaying the appropriate VCUCard for the role they are in the process of performing.
After your role has ended with VCU Health, you are required to surrender your VCUCard to one of our offices.
The Graduate Medical Education Office will provide you with information about obtaining your VCUCard. You will contact your GME Program Coordinator for any questions or concerns you may have.
